K I N S L E Y- Edwin Depperschmidt, 68, died Dec. 24, 1996, at Via Christi Regional Medical Center, St. Francis Campus, Wichita.
He was born Feb. 5, 1928, at Liebenthal; the son of Andrew and Veronica Herrman Depperschmidt.
He was educated in Liebenthal Schools, and was a self-employed truck driver.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
On June 11, 1973, he married Maxine Cheevcr Miller. She survives. Other survivors include: two sons, Andrew, Garden City, and Steven, Dodge City; a daughter, Edrina Depperschmidt, Lawrence; two brothers, Elmer, Yukon, Okla., and Ralph, Pascagoula, Miss.; five sisters, Lorraine Schaffer and Mary Steitz, LaCrossc, Rita Liggett, Rush Center, Genevieve Kreutzer, Leoti, and Wilma Depperschmidt, Oklahoma City; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant granddaughter, a brother, Alvin, and a sister, Annie Young.
Vigil service will be at 7 p.m. Friday at Janousck Funeral Home, Lacrosse. Funeral will be a t 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Michael's Catholic Church, LaCrosse, with Father James Dieker presiding. Burial with full military honors will be in LaCrosse City Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to the donor's choice, in care of the funeral home.
