The obiutary lists the following survivors: her husband, Leroy; a daughter, Lori (Mrs. Adrian) McCrary, Sherrard; sons, Michael Deppe, Swedona, and Roger Hurt and Gale Hurt, both of Oquawka; 12 grandchildren; four great-grand-children; sisters, Eddie Lee Schisler and Donna Gray, both of Abingdon, Anna Homer, Gainsville, Texas, and her twin sister, Betty Phipps, Galesburg; and brothers, Howard Hook, St. Augustine, Herb Hook, of Missouri, John Hook, Gainsville, James Hook Jr. and Leonard Hook, both of Abingdon, Robert Hook, Herman, Henry Hook, London Mills, Jessie Hook, Galesburg, and David Hook, Burlington, Iowa.
Bessie was preceded in death by a son, David.
Funeral services were at Peterson-Wallin-Knox Funeral Home, Alpha. Burial was in Alpha Cemetery.
