Judith Ann (Judy) Snyder Deppe passed away peacefully on Wednesday evening at North Canyon Care Center after many years of enduring health issues incident to diabetes.

Judy was born in Salt Lake City to Karl S. Snyder and Ora Mae Miner and was the youngest of eight children. With parents in their 40's and with a considerable age difference between her and her next oldest sibling she enjoyed being raised almost like an only child with lots of help from her loving parents and older siblings.

Judy, from her earliest years, loved having and caring for her pet cats. She always had at least one cat during her entire life. While growing up, having older adult siblings gave Judy the opportunity to travel to and live with most of them during summer breaks and vacations. Her nieces and nephews were close to her age giving her a love and appreciation for having a large family.

Judy graduated from Bountiful High Class of '63 and didn't let much time go by before starting her own family.

She was engaged to her neighborhood sweetheart, Lawrence Kay Deppe, in April 1963 and was married in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple on August 9, 1963.

Her first two daughters were born in April. April officially became a special month for Judy and of course a popular song at the time by Pat Boone was "April Love" and became the theme song of her marriage.

Judy raised six wonderful and loving children, five daughters and one son, fourteen grandchildren, and one great-grandson. Homemaking, cooking, crafts, and giving her all for her children was the occupation of her life. Whatever she did, she wanted to make it special.

Judy was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Whatever her calling, she served faithfully. She served in leadership positions in Primary and Relief Society organizations and loved those callings; especially, Primary, where she developed lifelong friendships.

Judy is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Betty, Bob, Dorothy Carol, Marilyn, and Richard; and son-in-law, Bryan F. Montgomery. Survived by brother, James Snyder; daughters, Dianna Montgomery, Marilyn (Jeff) Porter, Lisa (Dave) Jackson, Julie (Quentin) Ford, and Emily Deppe; and son, Jeremy (Julien) Deppe.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Bountiful Thirtieth Ward Chapel, 2150 South 650 East, Bountiful, Utah, where a viewing will be held prior to the services from 12:45 until 1:45 p.m.
Interment will be in the Bountiful Memorial Park.
