Velma Denton Cline, age 94, of Wytheville, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2013. She was an employee of Aeroquip., a member of the Wytheville Baptist Church, and was preceded in death by her husband, G. Brinkley Cline. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Bill Scott, of Wytheville; three grandchildren and spouses, Dreama Long, of Rural Retreat, Robin and Michael Thompson, of Radford, William J. "Jacky" Jr., and Tammy Scott, of Wytheville; four great-grandchildren and spouses, Agnes J. "A.J." Long, Terri Thompson and Josh Gravely, David Andrew "Dave" and Becky Long, and Brandon Michael Thompson; five great-great-grandchildren, Abigail Long, Samuel Long, Sydney Long, Kamryn Gravely, and Kaleb Gravely; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral service will be Tuesday 2 p.m. in the Grubb Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Pastor Jim Denton with the Entombment in the Rosewood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Family will receive friends at Grubb Funeral Home Tuesday from 1 p.m. until service time. Grubb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
