In Memoriam

Mrs. Anna Beall Dent, youngest daughter of Edward B. Young and Anne Fendell Beall, died yesterday in Montgomery. She was born in Eufaula in June 1840 and spent most of her life here. She married Capt. S.H. Dent on June 5th, 1880. The couple had six children: Mr. Edward Y. Dent, Mrs. Nannie Dent Long, S.H. Dent Jr., Lieut. Henry A. Dent, Mrs. Louise Hurt, and Miss Caroline Dent. All survive her.
Such is the brief outline of the life of this sainted woman. To all of her relations of life, as wife, mother, sister, and friend, she was devoted, true, and generous. Her beauty of person and grace of manner bespoke her brightness of mind and sweetness of spirit. This gentle lady will be missed as only such a wife and mother can be. Her life, fidelity, and usefulness will be held in affectionate and lasting remembrance.
