Obituary: Thurs. Feb 8, 1968, B. F. (Frank) Denson.
Funeral services for B. F. (Frank) Denson, 83, of Slocum, were held Friday, Feb. 2, in Hassell & Foster Chapel, Palestine, with Don L. Ratford officiating. Burial was in Strong Memorial Park, Slocum.
Nephews served as pallbearers.
Mr. Denson was born May 15, 1884, in Houston County, near Grapeland, and was a son of the late George Washington Denson and Mrs. Rachel Elizabeth Whitaker Denson. A retired farmer and carpenter, he was a member of the Christian church, and died Thursday, Feb.,1, at 2 p.m. in a Palestine
Nursing Home following a long illness.
Most of his life had been spent in Slocum with the exception of 20 years residence in DeRidder, La.
Survivors are four brothers, H. L. and Jeff, both of Palestine, Harry and Lester, both of Slocum; four sisters, Mrs. Mae Ella Paul and Mrs. Cecil Forehand, both of Crockett. Mrs. Ethel Vickery of Slocum, and Mrs. Nellie
Wardle of DeRidder, La.; and several nieces and nephews.
