Addie Bell Parsons Denny, 104, passed away on Monday, March 7, 2005 at the Life Care Center of Skagit Valley in Sedro-Woolley.

She was born February 14, 1901 in McDowell County, North Carolina, the daughter of W. L. and Mary Duncan Proctor. Addie grew up in North Carolina coming to Marblemount in 1930. She was a homemaker and care giver.

Addie, for many years was a Loggerodeo contestant, competing in the buck saw and power saw competition up until her 80's. She was awarded 100 roses from the Loggerodeo Committee and over the years won many trophies. She enjoyed cooking and canning and will be remembered for her wonderful biscuits & gravy, cornbread, and drinking buttermilk. She was a faithful servant of the Lord till the end.

Addie is survived by her son, Theo Denny, of Marblemount; five daughters: Lola (Howard) Johnson, of Birdsview, Margie (Fawnie) Binchus, of Marblemount, Dorothy Fink, of Sedro-Woolley, Gladys (Millard) Stringfield, of Sedro-Woolley, and Mary Bell (Carl) Hedman, of Cresbard, SD; 15 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her three husbands: Arthur Roy Parsons, Hubert Pomes, and J.C. Denny; two sons: Raymond and Kenny; three grandsons: Dwayne Stringfield, Gerald Lee Johnson and Claude Binchus; three sisters and two brothers.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, March 12, 2005 at 11:00AM at Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley, with Chaplin Carl Hedman and Pastor Dave Nichols of the Assembly of God Church of Marblemount co-officiating.

Interment will follow in the Sedro-Woolley Union Cemetery.
