TABLE ROCK ARGUS
Sarah married John D. Cox on March 24, 1901. During her life she had been foster mother to 8 orphan children. Upon her mothers death she assumed the care of her small sister and brother. In later years she took two small children of her brother, both of whom are now dead. Twelve years ago she took the youngest daughter of Chas. McCordtney and two years ago she brought to her home the three small daughters of a niece who died in Hillyard, Wash. The last four still abide in her home and they all bear witness that to them she had been a good mother.
She came to Nebraska in 1890 and since then has made her home in Humboldt and Table Rock. She became a member of the Presbyterian church at Mt. Carroll, and after coming to Nebraska transferred her membership to the Presbyterian church in Table Rock, continuing in this fellowship until her death.
For the past five years she has been a sufferer from cancer and, to her, happy release came in her death which occured Feb. 23, 1916. She is survived by the husband, three brothers, Geo. P. Dennis of Auburn, Neb., John C. Dennis of Kennewick, Wash., and Edward M. Dennis of Kamiah, Ida., four of her girls and numerous nieces and nephews.
