Mildred E. Dennis, aged 92, of Muir, passed away January 14, 2006 in Carson City. She was born January 19, 1913 in Greenville the daughter of Fred and Jennie (Kruger) Ross. Mildred married Thane Dennis May 6, 1933 who preceded her in death in 1973. She was a past member and board member of Muir Presbyterian Church. She was also a member of Eastern Star.
Mildred is survived by her children, Pauline and Frank Smith of Grand Rapids, Robert Dennis of Muir, Dale and Beth Dennis of Carson City, Jeannine and David Rogers of Ionia, Diane and Ken Stout of Muir, Gordon and Cheryl Dennis of Grand Rapids, William and Karen Dennis of Lyons; twenty-one grandchildren, forty-two great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Allen F. Ross, Clifford Ross; daughter-in-law Marion Dennis; two grandchildren, William Robert Taylor and Pamela Ransom.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wed. at Lyons-Muir Church with Rev. Kenneth Harger officiating. Prior to services an Eastern Star service will be held. Interment North Plains Cemetery. The family will receive friends and family today from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Lake Funeral Home in Muir. Anyone wishing may make memorial contributions to Lyons-Muir Church.
