Beatrice "Bea" Ray Roebuck, 89, died Thursday, Dec. 19, 1996, at the Gilmore Memorial Hospital in Amory. She was born Dec. 21, 1906, in Chickasaw County. She lived in Wren most of her life. She was married to Sack Roebuck in 1951. He died in 1983. She was a member of Central Grove Baptist Church, where she was a former Sunday School teacher and a member of the WMU. She was a homemaker and a member of the Wren Culture Club.

Services will be at 11 am. today at Pickle Funeral Home in Amory with Bro. Dennis Smithey officiating. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery.

Survivors include one brother, J.T. Ray Jr. , and his wife, Claribel Ray, of Wren; two nephews, David P. Ray of Wren and the Rev. Jim Ray of Columbia.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Tilden Ray Sr. and Era Addie West Ray; and one sister, Jewell Dendy.

Pallbearers will be Truett Adams, Dale Langford, Richard Milstead, E.G. "Nick" Nicholson, H.B. "Bud" Harlow, James R. Haney and Ray Gallop.
