"Alvin S. "Al" Demming, 75, of 116 Greenview Drive, died Thursday at Landis Homes of natural causes.
He was a technician for 40 years at the former RCA plant in Lancaster.
A U.S. Army veteran, he served in World War II and the Korean War.
He graduated from the former Denver High School in 1944 and from Coyne Electrical School, New York.
He enjoyed traveling and collecting stamps.
He was a member of Ephrata Church of the Nazerene.
Born in West Cocalico Township, he was a son of the late Harry and Gertrude Sweigart Demming.
He was married to Dorothy P. Petrey Demming for 48 years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughers, Lori D., married to Robert A. Kepiro of Smoketown, and Alana D., married to Craig A. Groff of Lititz; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Violet S. Glass and Mary Demming, and a granddaughter."
