Anthea Demas, of 509 East Putnam Avenue, Greenwich, daughter of Anita Papalexis Demas and the late John Demas, passed away peacefully of cancer at Nathaniel Witherell Short Term Rehab and Nursing Center on December 15, 2010. She was sixty.
Born in New York City on February 1, 1950, Anthea graduated from Greenwich High School in 1968. She briefly attended New York University.
She is survived by her brother Dr. Christopher P. Demas and his wife Anne; her nephew Alex; her niece Elizabeth; her uncles Gregory Papalexis and Helen; and Tom Demas; her aunt Mary and Charles Albanis; and several cousins.
Calling hours will be held at Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 31 Arch Street, Greenwich, on Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Round Hill Community Church, 395 Round Hill Road, Greenwich, on Monday, December 20, 2010 at 11:00 a.m.
Burial will follow in Putnam Cemetery, Greenwich.
