Shirley Kathleen Dellinger Aram was born April 30 1919, in Tipton County, Indiana, the fourth of eight children of Shirl B. and Rebecca Baynes Dellinger.
She died on February 27, 2009 in the Manor at Elfindale, Springfield, MO.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Eugene Dellinger, Hartley Dellinger, Robert Dellinger, Thomas Dellinger, George Dellinger and sister Ruthanna Powell. She married Nathan W. Aram at Oak Park, Illinois on April 29, 1944. He preceded her in death on October 20, 2008.
Shirley is survived by four sons Robert Aram of Fishers, Indiana, Rev. Stephen Aram of Oak Lawn, Illinois, Dr. Alan Aram of Springfield, Missouri and Richard Aram of Katy, Texas; eleven grand children; five great grand children; a sister, Rebecca Van Horn of Farmington, AK.
She was a member and Sunday School teacher at University Heights Baptist Church, Springfield, Missouri.
She was a loving, devoted Christian wife and mother.
She was a volunteer worker at a hospital, a children's Christian pre-school, and Cub Scouts.
Before moving to Springfield, Missouri, in 1980, she and her husband had lived in Park Ridge, Tower Lakes, and Long Grove, Illinois, She will be missed by her family and many friends.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2009 in Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel with Reverend Michael Olmstead officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time Wednesday in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Maple Park Cemetery.
