Shelby — Mrs. Mary "Pinkie" Dellinger Austell, 82, of 211 Worthington St., died Saturday, Sept. 9, 2006, at Carolinas Medical Center. She was a native of Gaston County and was a lifetime active member of Ascension Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gresham Otto Dellinger and Nellie Summer Dellinger, her husband, Jesse Lowery Austell, an infant daughter, Mary Rebecca Crowder and a sister, Catherine Dellinger Irvin. She is survived by a son, William E. Crowder III and wife, Bonnie B. Crowder, of Charlotte; grandsons William E. "Billy" Crowder IV and wife Michelle Crowder of Gastonia and Michael Gresham Crowder and wife Lynne' of Boiling Springs; great-grandchildren, Olivia Crowder, Emily Crowder, Anderson Crowder, Judah Crowder, Elisabeth Crowder and Jonah Crowder; a sister, Rosie Dellinger Poston of Shelby; and extended family, Ronald and Juanita Austell, Gailya and Lewis Gibson, five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Cleveland Funeral Services.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Ascension Lutheran Church
