Doris Edna Barker-McGlothlin, 90, of Lafayette died Wednesday June 21, 2006, at the Mulberry Health and Retirement Center. Born January 3, 1916 in Montgomery County to the late Ernest & Inez (Coons) Delano she has lived in Lafayette since 1953. She married David Barker on November 23, 1932 and he preceded her in death on October 28, 1975, she then married Roy McGlothlin on April 12, 1982 and he preceded her on August 26, 2000. She had worked at Duncan Electric for over 20 years retiring in 1981. She had previously worked at RR Donnelley in Crawfordsville. She enjoyed gardening, and cooking.

Surviving is a daughter Carolyn (Norbert) Fisher of Lafayette. Also surviving are 3 sisters Thelma Crabtree, Annabell Roe, Lola "Sissy" Hockersmith, and 3 brothers Albert Delano, Jesse (Dorothy) Delano, and Loyal "Buzzy" (Patsy) Delano. Visitation will be held from 5-8 PM Friday June 23, 2006 at Hippensteel Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Saturday June 24, 2006 at the funeral home with Pastor Herb Wingard officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association. She has been preceded in death by 2 sons Donald Barker, Phillip Barker, 4 brothers, and 1 sister. Surviving are 6 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 5 step great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and a daughter-in-law, Alberta "Bert" Barker.
