H., 1842, Feb. 16; dismissed, 1847, Jan. 13. Acting pastor, Haverhill, North, 1847, May— 1852 ; Hartland, Vt., 1852-6 ; Strafford, Vt, 1857-64, and 1867-9. Without charge, Amherst, Mass.; Strafford and Williamstown, Vt., 1869, till death. He was a trustee of Dartmouth College, 1834-66; and secretary of the Vermont Domestic Missionary Society, 1839-42.
