Mrs. Edward Delaney died at her home at Plattsmouth, Neb., Thursday, September 30, 1943. She was stricken with a heart attack and lived only a few minutes.

Carrie Adele Davies, daughter of William and Martha Davies was born January 9, 1882, near Tobias, Neb., where she grew to womanhood. November 21, 1900, she was married to Edward J. Delaney. To this happy union were born a daughter, Ruby Ellen, who passed away July 4, 1904, and a son, Wayne Edward, of Omaha, who, with her devoted husband, survive. Also surviving are two granddaughters and several nephews and nieces.

During Mrs. Delaney's married life, she lived at Tobias, Geneva, Grafton, Lincoln and Plattsmouth. In all these places she leaves many friends who mourn her sudden passing. Her kindly and thoughtful ways endeared her to all she met.

The Rosary was recited at Sattler funeral home at Plattsmouth, following which the body was brought to Exeter. The funeral was conducted Monday, October 4, at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, Exeter. Rev. A. A. Antochowski officiating, being assisted by Rev. A. Riembald. Interment was in the Exeter cemetery.
