Antoinette (Emmi) DeGilio, 91, of Westvale, passed away Monday at Crouse Hospital. Born in Catania, Sicily to Salvatore and Carmela Emmi, she immigrated to the U.S. in 1930. Anne was a bookkeeper for Solvay Process, Burns Supply and the US Air Force. She was an award winning gardener, horticulturist and quilter. She was a past member of the Geddes Seniors, Italian-American Heritage Club, and the DAV Chapter 30 Auxiliary. She was a communicant of St. Charles Borromeo Church and member of its Altar and Rosary Society and Funeral Guild. She was predeceased by her husband, Anthony in 2000; sister, Sarah Russo and brother, Sam Emmi. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Madeline and Arthur Kanerviko; grandsons, Arthur (Lisa), Matthew (Susan) and Brian (Kathleen) Kanerviko; great-grandchildren, Jessica, Matthew, Lauren, Emmi, Makayla, Madeline and William; a sister, Jenny (Harold) Seib; sisters-in-law, Eva Emmi, Patricia DeGilio and Laura Masucci and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 9:15 a.m. Friday in BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME and 10 a.m. in St. Charles Borromeo Church, where a funeral Mass will be celebrated. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse. Calling hours are from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, 2601 Milton Ave., Solvay.
