Mrs. Butler was a native of Eugene, Florida, area until moving to Lake City in 1945. She was the daughter of the late Drew and Berta Newmans Dees, and the widow of the late Loyd W. Butler. Mrs. Butler attended the Dixie County Public Schools and was a member of Parkview Baptist Church, Lake City.
Survivors include; two daughters, Gaynell B. Forsyth, Lake City, Charlotte L. Dickinson, St. Cloud, Florida; one brother, Earl Dees, Jacksonville, Florida; one sister, Vivian Mulnix, Cross City, Florida; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Butler were conducted at 11:00 A.M. Monday, February 21, 1994, in Sherrill-Guerry Memorial Chapel with Rev. Joe Butler, pastor of Parkview Baptist Church, officiating. Interment services followed in Butler Cemetery, Horseshoe Beach, Florida.
