On Friday at the home of his son Wilhelm in Town Schleswig, where he had been living the past years, Mr. Heinrich Gerhard Dedering, a long time and well-known resident of the Town died from old age. The deceased was born on June 13, 1830 in Kirchspiel, Rothenkirchen Grossherzogthum Oldenburg, Germany and in 1858 was married in the fatherland. In 1860 the couple immigrated to America and settled first in Thiensville, Wisconsin. A few years later the family came to Schleswig to make their home and they have lived here ever since. His wife died a number of years ago and since then he has lived with his children. Ten children, 47 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren survive him. The burial took place on Monday afternoon at the Rockville Cemetery with Pastor Hauser officiating.
