She was born February 8, 1915, in Beaumont, to Alma Kojak Debes and Reverend Gabriel Debes.
Helen was a lifetime resident of Beaumont where she lived with her husband Raymond. They owned and operated Ray's Food Town in Silsbee for over thirty-five years. She had a passion for cooking Lebanese sweets and meals for her family. However, she will always be remembered for her cakes that she made every Sunday. Helen was a lifelong member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church.
Survivors include her sister-in-law, Billie Debes; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her husband of sixty-two years, Raymond Richmond; siblings, Lillie Belle Buchanan, Edna Mamo, Margaret Husbands, Rhoda Carter, Alice Arledge, and Jim Debes, Jr.
Interment: Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont, Texas.
