She was the daughter of Charles and Barbara (Schulz) Deaubler. On Jun 4, 1936, she married Gerald W. Rothe, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are a son, Alan W., Las Vegas, NV; a daughter, Barbara A. (Fred) Lamon, Jefferson City; eleven grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a daughter-in-law, Rosemarie Rothe; three brothers: Robert, Walter and Carl; and a sister, Esther Glancy.
She was a 1932 Graduate of the Lima Central High School. She had worked for 30 years as a medical secretary for Dr. David L. Steiner, retiring in 1980. She was a lifetime member of the First Evangelical and Reformed Church and had been an active member in the church's Fidelis Class, the Women's Guild, the church choir and she was also on the funeral luncheon committee. She had also served as a member on the Allen County Board of Election. She loved helping other people, especially her children and grandchildren. She had the innate ability to make each of her grandchildren feel individually special. She will be remembered for her love of playing games, knitting dish cloths and her skills in baking and cooking.
Funeral services will be at the First Evangelical and Reformed Church, with Rev. Larry Blunden officiating/
