Mrs. Ella Heath Deatsman, wife of Alva B. Deatsman passed away at their home in Lansing, July 2, 1921. Born in Brookfield township, Nov. 30, 1871. Daughter of Charles and Margaret Heath. She was a very successful teacher for 10 years. She with her husband united with the M. E. church, eight years ago, since then has been a faithful devoted Christian. Though and invalid for the past few years of her life and a constant sufferer, cheerful and patient, she shed sunshine all along her pathway and is beloved to all who knew her. Besides her husband she leaves two sisters, Mrs. H. P. Studler of Henryetta, Okla., and Mrs. T. W. Hilliker of Grand Ledge, and an aged father, besides a host of friends to mourn her loss. A. B. Deatsman and relatives.

I wish to thank my friends and neighbors for their kindness and sympathy shown during the long and continued sickness and death of my dear beloved wife; also for the beautiful floral offering. A. B. Deatsman and relatives. ref: Lansing State Journal 8 Jul 1921
