** Operation Prairie was a military operation in northern South Vietnam. Its job was to eliminating North Vietnamese Army forces south of the DMZ. Prairie was a string of battles that was fought in the foothills south of the DMZ. Some of these areas were called: Mutter's Ridge, the Razorback, Hill 400, Hill 484 and The Rockpile.

As a member of the Marine Corps, PFC Brown served our country until March 5th, 1967 in Quang Tri, South Vietnam.

He was 19 years old and was not married.

Dewey died from an undetermined explosion. His body was recovered. Dewey was born on August 17th, 1947 in Houston, Texas.

He served our country for less than a year.

During the Vietnam War, Prairie II Feb–Mar 1967 1/9 sustained the highest casualty rate in Marine Corps history.
