Jeffrey Fields Dearing, age 60 of Deer Trail Road, Moorefield, WV, passed away Wednesday evening, August 11, 2010 at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, VA. Born March 9, 1950 in Lynchburg, VA, he was the son of the late John William Dearing, Jr. and the late Linda Olive (Fields) Dearing. He was a member of the Moorefield Presbyterian Church where he was a member of the choir and served as an Elder. Jeff was the Human Resource Manager for the Pilgrims Pride complex in Moorefield.
Surviving is his wife, Tara (Harrington) Dearing; three sons, Jason Dearing of Montgomery, AL, Jared Dearing (wife Tiffany) of Cross Lanes, WV and Justin Dearing (wife Megan) of Charleston, SC; a daughter, Tessa Dearing of Mount Crawford, VA and a sister, Florence E. Dearing of Stuarts Draft, VA.
Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 AM Monday, August 16, 2010 at the Moorefield Presbyterian Church with Pastor Katherine C. Jackson officiating. Interment will follow with graveside committal rites at 1:00 PM Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at the Spring Hill Cemetery, Fort Avenue, Lynchburg, VA. The family will receive friends from 4 – 8 PM Sunday at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington St.
