Nadine Taylor Deardorff, 50, of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, passed away Sunday, March 4, 2012. Born April 23, 1961 in Fort Dix, New Jersey; she is the daughter of the Victor and Carole Taylor of Shippensburg, Pennsylvania.
Nadine grew up as an "Army Brat" and was fortunate to have lived in Germany for a number of years. In White Hall, Ohio, she enjoyed playing softball and played the clarinet in the Whitehall High school Band. She along with fellow band members were chosen to be in the Inaugural Parade in 1977 for Jimmy Carter, the 39th President.
Nadine was a graduate of Shippensburg High School and Wilson College with a B. A. in Religion and a minor in Social Ethics. She had also worked as a license cosmetologist. Nadine took her education very seriously and strived to always with the best or top notch in her classes. Her children were first in her life. She was a soccer mom, room mother and member of the Middle School Science Fair Committee. She also loved animals, especially dogs, reading, art and traveling. Rarely, if ever did she speak a harsh word to anyone and always greeted people with a lovely smile and was there to help anyone out when ever she could. She was employed by CAMS as a library assistant and then became an ESL assistant at Chambersburg High School. She organized several fundraisers at CAMS, one especially "Kiss the Pig". She found the ESL program at CASHS a challenge creating innovative ways to encourage students. She will always be remembered by many as having a happy, radiant, infectous personality.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband; James B. Deardorff and two children; Kathryn May Deardorff and Cole Taylor Deardorff. Also her brother; Victor K. Taylor of Newville, Pennsylvania.
