Mrs. Ellen Arendt, 69, widow of Calvin P Arendt, widow of Calvin P Arendt, died at her home in Arendtsville, Friday afternoon, at 5:00 after a months illness from a complication of diseases.
She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Deardorf, and was born at Mummasburg. She was a lifelong resident of Adams County and an active worker in the Arendtsville Lutheran church.
Surviving her are one son and two daughters, Clark Arendt, and Miss Cecilia Arendt both at home, and Mrs. David I Hartman, McKnightstown; five brothers, Samuel, Anthony, both of Mummasburg; Henry, Gardners; Dr. Benjamin, Claytonia, Nebraska, and Washington, of Kansas City, Kansas, and one sister, Miss Jennie Deardorff, of Los Angeles.
Funeral services Monday at 1:30 from her late home, the Rev. George B Ely officiating. Interment in Greenmount cemetery, Arendtsville.
