COLUMBUS, Ind., June 15 – The funeral of A. W. Dean, which took place Sunday afternoon from his late residence in Rock Creek township, was the largest ever held in Bartholomew county. The deceased being an infidel, the funeral oration was made by attorney Albert Blessing. The county commissioners met this afternoon and elected John D. Emmons to fill the unexpired term of county assessor, made vacant by the death of Dean.
