ROCKVILLE – Verle Dean "Bud" Cox, 70, formerly of Wheatland, died Monday at the Union Hospital in Terre Haute.
There will be no service or visitation. Arrangements were by McClure Funeral Home and assisted by Butler Funeral Home, Rockville.
He was born Nov. 16, 1929, in Wheatland, to Arlie and Juanita (Riggle) Cox. They preceded him in death. He married Bonnie Jean Trowbridge on Dec. 2, 1950 and she survives.
Cox was retired from Inland Steel as an operating engineer. Also, he was a State Street Baptist Church member in Hammond and had served in Korea in the Army
Also surviving are: two daughters, Pam Hall, Greencastle and Karen Madison, Minooka, Ill.; Greg, Brazil; Mike and Tim both of Terre Haute; five sisters, Delores Rader and Marsella Smith, both of Wheatland; Arlene Marsh and Annette Cox, both of Hammond and Peggy Marsh, Huntsville, Ala. and nine grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly and a brother , Richard.
