She was born Dec. 17, 1917, in North Vernon, the daughter of Michael H. and Wilma (McWithey) Kirchner. She lived in Anderson from 1928 to 1977 and then lived in Sun City Center, Fla.
She retired from Fisher Guide in 1971 after 35 years.
She was active in area bowling. She served as secretary of the Anderson Women's Bowling Association and in Sun City Center, Fla.
She is survived by her brother, the Rev. Dr. Jack M. (wife, Sandy) Kirchner of Albany; sister, Nancy J. (husband, Lowell) Bennett of Springport; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Loren A. Dean, and brother, Dennis E. Kirchner.
Private graveside services and burial took place in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
