She was born Aug. 22, 1944, in Harrisonburg and was a daughter of Hensel Dean of Frostproof, Fla. and the late Bessie Knight Dean Wooddell.
Mrs. Crider lived in Harrisonburg before moving to Lynchburg three years ago.
She was a member of Jordan Baptist Church in Lynchburg.
Surviving in addition to her father are her husband, Paul Crider of Lynchburg; two children, Jeffrey Dean of Weyers Cave and Beverly Crider of Lynchburg; a foster daughter, Melissa Lynn Simmons of Lynchburg; four brothers, Curtis Dean of Greensboro, N.C., Tommy and Don Wooddell, both of Hinton, and Timothy Wooddell of Columbus, N.J., and four sisters, Barbara Guyer of Mount Crawford, Betty Joseph of Hinton, Wanda Haun of Front Royal and Nancy Wooddell of Harrisonburg.
The funeral will be conduct 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Lindsey Harrisonburg Funeral Home by the Rev. David Nankivill.
Burial will be in St. Jacobs (Spaders) Lutheran Church Cemetery.
The body is at the Lindsey Harrisonburg Funeral Home, but the family will receive friends at the home of Goldie Eavers, 203 1/2 Broad St., Harrisonburg.
