Deceased Name: FRANCIS COLT deWOLF -- Insurance Broker

Francis Colt deWolf, 68, a retired insurance broker with the Sun Life Insurance Co. and a member of the Mayflower Society, the Huguenot Society and the Society of the Cincinnati, died of heart ailments April 4 at George Washington University Hospital.

Mr. deWolf, a descendent of Samuel Colt, the inventor of the Colt revolver, was born in Washington. He was educated in Switzerland, where his father worked at the League of Nations in the 1930s, and in Washington, where he attended St. Albans School for Boys.

After World War II service in the Pacific in the Marine Corps, he graduated from George Washington University.

He then was commissioned in the Army Signal Corps and served in the Korean War as an aerial photographer. He also served in Germany before resigning his commission as a captain in 1956.

Mr. deWolf began his career with Sun Life when he left the Army. He retired in 1981 for health reasons.

He was a member of the Chevy Chase Club, the Metropolitan Club and DACOR House. He lived in Washington.

Survivors include his wife, the former Princess Dorota Drucka Lubecka, and their children, Elizabeth Lindsay Colt deWolf and Francis Colt deWolf III, all of Washington; and a brother, Bradford Colt deWolf of Great Falls.
