Bradley Paige DeWeese
Asheville - Bradley Paige DeWeese, 16, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, Oct. 17, 2004. A lifelong resident of Asheville, he was the son of Dennis Arlo and Jeannie Holland DeWeese. Brad was a blessing to his family. He loved to spend time with his grandmother and was of great assistance to his father in helping around the house. Brad was a very kind, thoughtful and respectful young man. He was a student at Asheville High School in the occupational course of study. He loved to do landscaping and worked on both the Asheville High and UNC Asheville campuses. He was instrumental in helping to plant and care for a vegetable garden on the campus of Asheville High School for people in need in the community. Brad was well thought of by all who knew him.
Along with his parents, Brad is survived by his brother, Dennis Trent DeWeese; his sister, Christina Jean DeWeese; his maternal grandmother, Dorothy Holland as well as uncles, aunts and cousins.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Crossroads Assembly of God. The Revs. J. Michael Brown and Bob Chuprevich will officiate. Interment will follow at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Morris Funeral Home, 304 Merrimon Ave. Memorials in Brad's name may be made to Asheville High School Exceptional Child Development, Occupational Course of Study, 419 McDowell Street, Asheville, NC 28801.
