E. Dewitt Deviney, 89, of 607 S. Lindell Road died Saturday at Wesley Long Community Hospital.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
A native of Julian, he was retired from Cone Mills Corp. in New York, attended UNC-Chapel Hill and was a member of Julian United Methodist Church.
Surviving are wife, Mrs. Mary Ferguson Deviney; daughter, Miss Mary Jane Deviney of the home; brothers, J. Norman Deviney, J. Mark Deviney, both of Greensboro; sister, Mrs. Frances Deviney Livie of West Fork, Ark.
