Cecil R. DeRossett, 54, 640 W. Grant Ave.,
was stricken at the Pontiac Chair
Factory yesterday afternoon and was
dead on arrival at St. James Hospital
at 2:30 p.m.
His funeral will be Friday at 1:30 p.m.
at the Raleigh J. Harris Funeral Home.
Mr. David Steere of the Calvary Baptist
Church will officiate. Burial will be in
Friends may call Thursday from 6 to 9
at the funeral home.
Mr. DeRossett was born June 27, 1916
at Cornell, a son of James and Barbara
He married Hazel Paul on Sept. 28, 1940, at
Surviving are his wife; two sisters, Mrs.
Mabel Boshart, Silvis, and Mrs. Hazel
Freeman, who address is unknown.
He was preceded in death by his parents
and two brothers.
Mr. DeRossett had been employed at
Pontiac Chair since1967 and previously
had worked at the Weston Grain Co. He
was a member of the Loyal Order of
Moose and the Veterans of
Foreign Wars. He served with the U. S.
Army engineers during World War II.
