Rose Mary Bosco, age 96 of New Milford, previously of Danbury and Brookfield, died on Saturday morning at the Candlewood Valley Care Center, New Milford. She was the wife of the late Louis B. Bosco. Rose was born in Danbury December 6, 1912, the daughter of the late Leonard and Lucy (Vitalizio) DePalma. A lifelong Danbury resident, she had graduated from local schools and was employed as an inspector for the Barden Corp., retiring after 20 years of service. Rose was a parishioner of St. Peter Church, Danbury and was a member of the Son's of Italy Colonna Lodge, where she had been a past president. Rose had recently received recognition from the Retired Seniors Volunteer Program for 30 years of volunteer service. She was an avid reader, and a fan of both UConn Girls Basketball and the New York Yankees. Rose will be remembered as a loving mother, generous friend and someone whose warm personality and endearing smile will be missed by all. Rose is survived by two daughters, Joan M. Cahill of Brookfield, and Lorraine M. Sorensen and her husband, Harold of Huntington; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 9th at St. Peter Church, Danbury at 10:30 am. Burial will be in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury. The family will receive friends at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury on Tuesday from 5 thru 7 p.m.
