Alta was the daughter of Elizabeth J. Bonebrake and Peter Perry DeMoss. Alta was married to Wesley W. Cook on December 8, 1889.
Wesley Watson Cook was born in August 16, 1865 in Forest City, Howard County, Iowa and died February 21, 1944 in Homer, Cortland County, New York. He is buried in the Atwater Cemetery, Homer,, Cortland County, New York along with his second wife, Edith Alvira Clark Cook. She was born in 1876 in Little Falls, Morrison County, Minnesota.
Wesley and Edith married in 1896 and they are in the 1900 US Census for Long Lake Township, Crow Wing County, Minnesota. Wesley received a Land Patent for 125.17 acres on October 24, 1894 on the southwest part of Long Lake in Crow Wing County,Minnesota. Wesley and Edith were in the 1905 Minnesota State Census for Ripley Township, Morrison County, Minnesota. They were in the 1920 US Census for Scott, Cortland County, New York, the 1930 US Census for Cortland, Cortland County, New York and in the 1940 US Census for Homer, Cortland County, New York. Wesley was a farmer for most of his life.
