OBITUARY
Albert L. DeLong, 79, of Sunnyland, passed away at 6:50 a.m. Sunday, December 5, 2010 at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria. Albert was born August 12, 1931 in Dayton, Ohio, a son of Roxie Mae DeLong. He married Barbara Ann McCann July 14, 1950 in Peoria. She preceded him in death March 6, 2003 in Peoria. Surviving are one son, Donald L. (Dee) Delong, Sr. of Pekin; one daughter, Joanne (Rick) NcNulty of Washington; six grandchildren, Tonya DeLong, Mandy Gravitt, Robert Chitwood, Scott Chitwood, Jackie Mullen, John Luke: 20 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Albert was preceded in death by his mother and one grandson, Donald DeLong, Jr. Albert worked for Cottingham Property Management 29 years. He was a maintence supervisor lasting working in October, 2010. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, in Peoria, where funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 9, 2010. The Reverend Joe Meyer will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at The Wilton Mortuary, in Peoria, and one hour before services at the church on Thursday. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria. Memorials may be made to Northern Tazewell Fire Department in Sunnyland.
