Grand Ledge
Robert L. Daymon, 80, born April 20, 1934, passed away October 8, 2014 in Lansing, MI. Bob was a retired yard maintenance supervisor from General Motors, served on the Oldsmobile Supervisory Council, and also proudly served in the National Guard. He was a member of the Grand Ledge Church of the Nazarene; an avid golfer, bowler, and was inducted into the Bowling Hall of Fame.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Judy, son Richard Daymon and daughter, Debra (William) Rust; two grandchildren, Tymothy (Ashley) Rust and Michael (Chrissy) Rust; two great grandchildren, Peyton and Zooey Rust; brother Richard (Donna) McKinney, brother-in-law Tom Voige, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter Barbara Daymon and sister Loretta Voige.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, October 11, 2014 - 11:00 a.m. at the Peters & Murray Funeral Home, Grand Ledge, with interment to follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Grand Ledge. The family will receive friends Friday 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Grand Ledge Church of the Nazarene or Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital in memory of Robert Daymon.
