Sarah Bell Davis is the daughter of William Davis and Sarah McKee. She married John Erik Forsgren shortly before he left on a mission to his native country of Sweden. John Erik baptized his brother and sister there in Gavle. Christina Erika, John E's sister later became a plural wife to William B. Davis, thus Sarah's Sister-in-law is also a step-mother.
Sarah and John Erik had three children: Charles William, Sarah Alice (known as Alice) and John Heber Forsgren. Sarah eventually left John Erik. She married Joseph C. Clapper on 11 Oct 1859. They had a set of twins, Joann Catherine Clapper and Joseph Christian Clapper on 30 Oct 1860. A son, Maroni Davis Clapper was born to them on 11 Oct. 1863. Tragically for this family Sarah and all of her children by Mr. Clapper died in 1863!

None of the children is listed in the Sexton's records as being buried in Brigham City, but the records DO record the burial of Sarah Bell Forsgren (even though she had been married to Joseph Clapper for 4 years). Her stone is not far from the headstone of her father, William Davis. THE STONE IS MISLABLED. It reads "Davis, Sarah Bell McKee & children" (McKee was never part of HER name). It should read "Clapper, Sarah Bell Davis Forsgren & Children." I do not know if they are all actually buried there or if the stone is there as a memorial to Sarah.

Joseph Clapper is a brother to Susannah Clapper who is the wife of Sarah's brother James Spencer Davis. He moved to the midwest near other family members. He died in 1903 and is buried in Thurman, Fremont Co., Iowa.
