Thomas Lee "Tommy" Davis, age 81 of Hodge, La passed away Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at his residence after a lengthy illness.
Mr. Davis was a member of the Cattle Association, a member in the Lake Providence Jaycees and a board member of the Miss Louisiana State Beauty Pageant. He was a Restaurant Owner for 44 years. He also worked as an Insurance Salesman.
He is survived by his wife, Frankie Davis; sons, Thomas "Sonny" Davis and wife Jill of Blanchard, La, Joseph Davis and wife Doressa of Mt. Vernon, MO, Paul Davis of Gate City; daughters, Jan Neatherland and husband JoBoy of Jonesboro, Nancy Stevenson and husband Andy of Quitman; eleven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Davis of Baja, Mexico; special girls, Cynthia Loyd and Glenda Walker; very special cousins and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Julius K. "Buddy" Davis and Edward E. Davis.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Saturday, March 3, 2012 in the Southern Funeral Home Chapel in Jonesboro with Elder Freddie Shows officiating. Friends may visit with the family Friday 5:00PM until 9:00PM at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Gayla Traina Cemetery in Jonesboro under the direction of Southern Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
