Former Resident Dies In Bethalto
Carl M. Davis, a former resident of Troy, died suddenly at his home in Bethalto, Illinois,
April 29, 1960.
He was born in Troy March 26, 1906, the son of the late Samuel R. Davis and Fannie R.
Davis, who survives.
Survivors also include a sister, Mrs. Hazel Koehne of Granite City, and two brothers, Rodiville Davis and Robert Davis of Alton. An aunt, Mrs. Mayme Taylor, lives in Troy. A sister Charlotte G. Jones, preceded him in death.
Services were held at the Zion Lutheran Church in Bethalto, Tuesday, May 3, at 2 p.m.
He was a member of the Lutheran church where he sang in the choir and was a member
of the Men's Club. He was employed by the Bethalto Water Company.
Interment was in Sunset Hill Cemetery in Edwardsville.
