LAURA LUCILLE DAVIS BAGLEY
1929 - 2009
Laura Lucille Davis Bagley went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on Saturday, August 1, 2009.
She was born on June 18, 1929, to James D. and Nettie McGougan Davis, in Brewton, AL and moved with her family to Pensacola in the early 1940s' where she graduated from Pensacola High School.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, James and Claude Davis; and sister, Lena Dickson.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Ray Bagley; daughter, Linda Barrow (David); son, Duane Bagley; son, Victor Bagley (Shelley); four grandchildren; sisters, Ethel Ryals, Myrtle Danielson (Swede); sister-in-law, Louise Davis; brother-in-law, Raymond Dickson and a large and loving extended family.
Lucille spent her life in service to her family and her church. She demonstrated tireless, unconditional love as she cared for her special needs son. She shared God's love with little children as she faithfully worked Sunday School and VBS through the years. Her life is a testimony to her faith in Christ. We will miss her sweet spirit.
Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. and funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at FAITH CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME NORTH, 1000 HIGHWAY 29 SOUTH, CANTONMENT, FL. Burial will follow at Bayview Memorial Park. Her pastor, Dr. David Spencer will be officiating.
Members of the Joy Sunday School Class of Milton 1st Baptist will be honorary pallbearers. Family members will be active pallbearers.
To honor her memory, in lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to First Baptist Church of Milton Children's Ministry, 6797 Caroline Street, Milton, FL 32570 or ARC Santa Rosa, 6225 Dixie Road, Milton, FL 32570.
We would like to express our gratitude to the caring and supportive staff at Heritage/UniHealth of Santa Rosa who shared these past three years of Momma's life journey with her.
