Augusta Forbes (1908-1997) was born at Selma, Alabama to James and Clara Forbes. She married James Davis and they resided at 256 Fayard Street in Biloxi, Mississippi. Augusta was a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church and belonged to Willing Workers Club, Kitchen Committee, Mother Board, Deaconess Board, and the Ivy Green Court of Calanthe No. 400.
Augusta was preceded in death by her spouse; her parents; two sons, J.C. Jones and T.C. Jones; a brother, Frank Johnson; and a sister. Her survivors were: Frank Jones, a son; two God children, Carol Stallworth and Jessica Stallworth of Nashville, Tennessee; and six grandchildren.
Mrs. Davis' funeral services were held at the New Bethel Baptist Church under the auspices of Richmond Funeral Hone. Internment was in the Biloxi Cemetery.
