Agnes "Aggie" Karen Davis Buckett, 85, passed away peacefully and well-loved on March 22, 2007. She was born to Rebecca and Jacob Delegard on March 13, 1922 in Poskins, Wisconsin. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Tacoma, Washington and then attended beauty school. On November 4, 1941, she married George C. Davis.
They owned and operated the Davis Brown Derby Restaurant, and she later built and operated the new Brown Derby Hotel. Agnes then managed the Trails End Restaurant, and before retiring she owned and operated Puttin' On The Ritz, a catering company with Gloria Armstrong. She was preceded in death by her first husband, George Davis, second husband, Mel Buckett, Sister, Junie Larson, and brother, Robert Delegard. She is survived by her children, Donna Graves (Arthur), Mary Owens (Dennis), Linda Hollifield (Walt), Robert Davis (Louann), and Patrice Davis; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and brother Hank Delegard.
A viewing will be held on Sunday March 25, 2007 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Mills and Mills Funeral home in Tumwater. A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 26, 2007 at 1:00 p.m., also at Mills and Mills, followed by a celebration of life at the V.F.W. on Martin Way in Olympia. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Parkinson's Association or to the American Cancer Society.
