Aged 70, he was a pioneer resident of Olympia and an old-time steamboat man on the Sound. He was born in Claquato, Lewis, Washington 19 Apr 1855, the son of L. A. and Mary Jane (King) Davis.
Survived by widow, Anna (Pattison) Davis, daughter of the Olympia pioneer, James Pattison. They married 12 May 1888.
Also survived by daughter, Mrs. H. L. Thornton of Olympia; two brothers, H.K. Davis of Randle and S.A. Davis of Raymond; one sister, Mrs. Fannie Tullis of Fort Wayne, Indiana.
