BARRE - Gloria A. (Bouchard) Davis, wife of Winston Davis, passed away on Feb. 13, 2013, after a long battle with cancer, emphysema and kidney disease.
She was the daughter of Armand Bouchard and Marguerite (April) Bouchard.
Gloria was born on Sept. 18, 1936, in Salem, Mass. She graduated from Ste. Chretienne Academy in Salem, Mass. She was an active parishioner of St. Joseph Parish in Salem for many years. Gloria was a member of the Sodality of Our Lady and active as a participant and director in the Confraternity of Christian Doctrine program.
Winston and Gloria were married in St. Joseph Parish in Salem on April 11, 1964.
She spent her entire business career working for John Hancock Mutual Life Insurance Co. where she was hired for her first job as a life insurance application examiner. She took disability retirement as senior officer of the corporation in January 1991.
Winston and Gloria spent most of their entire married life in Salem, Mass., until 1992 when they began to divide their time between Salem and Warren, Vt., where they purchased a condo. After Gloria's parents died in 1997 and 1998, they made their permanent residence in Barre Town, Vt.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Winston; and a brother, Joseph Armand "Sonny" Bouchard, of Seabrook, N.H., and his daughter, Nicole (Bouchard) Crowley, and her husband, Staff Sgt. William Crowley, of New Windsor, N.Y., and their children, Emileigh, Lillian, Madelynne and Fenway; sister-in-law Linda (Peterson) Bouchard, of Danvers, Mass., and sister-in-law Meredith Arnold, of Uxbridge, Mass., her sons, Shawn Arnold and wife Tammy (Adams) Arnold, of Apalachin, N.Y., and Glenn Arnold and his wife, Jennifer (Pawluk) Arnold, of Douglas, Mass., and their daughters, Kiley and Ashley.
Gloria was predeceased by her parents and her in-laws, as well as a brother, Ronald E. "Rusty" Bouchard, and brother-in-law James K. Arnold.
It was her wish that there be no wake. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Monica Parish in Barre on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, at 11 a.m.

BARRE TOWN - A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, in St. Monica Catholic Church in Barre for Gloria A. Davis, of Sunset Road, who passed away Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, at her home.
The principal celebrant was the Rev. Leopold J. Bilodeau, pastor of the church, assisted by Monsignor Peter A. Routhier, rector of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception of Burlington and vicar general of the Diocese of Burlington.
Crucifer Lawrence Reilly was altar server. The Rev. Mr. Daniel L. Pudvah, deacon, led the Prayer of the Faithful.
Organist Rosie Badeau accompanied vocalists Romeo Bilodeau and Sarah Procopio, also members of the St. Monica Church choir, in the hymns, "God So Loved the World," "Ave Maria," "Souvenez-vous, Vierge Marie," "Song of Farewell" and "How Great Thou Art."
Words of remembrance were offered by George Berthold, a close family friend.
Offertory gifts were presented at the altar by Gloria's nieces, Michelle Bouchard, Nicole Crowley, Emileigh Bouchard, and Kiley and Ashley Arnold.
Pallbearers were members of the Knights of Columbus Council 399, Denis Jacques, Henry Bilodeau, Sandy Conti, Andre Rouleau, Conrad Beaudin, Ronald Putney, Frank Parisch and Michael Rouleau.
Father Bilodeau led a prayer service Saturday morning at the funeral home.
Burial followed the Mass in Hope Cemetery in Barre where Father Bilodeau offered committal prayers.
Following the burial, family and friends gathered at the Hilltop Restaurant for a time of fellowship and luncheon.
Arrangements were in the care of the Pruneau-Polli Funeral Home, 58 Summer St., in Barre.
