Vern Burl Davis, age 81, passed away Apr. 5, 2000, in Payson, Utah, of Pneumonia.
He was born Dec. 30, 1918, in Knightville, Utah, to William Clinton and Susan Naylor Davis. He married Dora Myrtle Bailey Nov. 26, 1943, in the Manti LDS Temple. She died May 10, 1999.
He was an active member of the LDS Church. He was a mechanic for several years and custodian for the LDS church for 11 years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and served in WWII.
He is survived by his children, Glen (Janet) Davis of West Bountiful, Ilene Davis, Madalene Davis, and Jane Davis, all of Nephi; 5 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren; one brother, George S. Davis of Gardena, California; and two sisters, Zella Huff of Hurricane, and Elaine Gay of Springville. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services were held Monday, Apr. 10, 2000, in the Nephi North Stake Center. Burial be in Vine Bluff Cemetery, Nephi, Utah.
