Remains Laid to Rest
The remains of the late Mrs. B. E. Davis were brought to Gonzales Tuesday afternoon for interment in the Odd Fellows cemetery. The remains were carried to the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Fly, where they remained until nearly 6 o'clock, when the start was made for the cemetery. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. T. B. Anderson, pastor of the Baptist church.
Following is a list of pall bearers: Active- B. N. Peck, C. E. Dilworth, J. W. Rainbolt, J. M. Rainey, Rolly Adams, W. D. Lane, W. H. Clark, W. P. Fischer,. Honorary-G. N. Dilworth, W. F. Robertson, J. G. Crockett, J. T. Thompson, E. M. Steen, Dr. G. W. McCaleb, J. W. Holmes, John Pitmsan, Q. M. Sharp.
The procession was a long one, and the floral offerings placed upon the grave were many, thus attesting the love and esteem in which the departed one had been held.
