Everet K. Davis

Everet K. (Red) Davis, 52, of 218 Mt. Logan Dr. died at 1:15 a.m. Tuesday in Chillicothe Hospital after several months illness.

He had been a U. S. Shoe Corp. employe since 1939. He served with the Army during World War II and was a member of Ross County Post 62, American Legion, VFW Post 108, the MOC (Cooties), Eagles and Ross County Conservation League.

He was born Oct. 5, 1914, in Chillicothe to Earl and Myrtle Chenault Davis. On Aug. 21, 1937, he married Dorothy Young, who survives.

Also surviving are a sister Mrs. Thomas (Bonnie) Bonner, 109 E. Water St., and several nieces and nephews. A brother, Lloyd, predeceased him.

Service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Ware Funeral Home with the Rev. Daniel S. McNutt officiating. Burial will be in Caldwell Cemetery where military graveside rites will be conducted by the American Legion and VFW. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
